The Effects of Bright Light |

Exposure to the eyes magnified by glass, just about any light can inflame the white part of the eyeball called the sclera (say: sklair-uh). This type of eye injury can usually be treated with basic lubricating eye drops or anti-inflammatory drops, and will require a few days for recovery.
The long term effects of daily susceptibility to bright light are often overlooked or seen as "a sign of old age", even though bad eyesight is a known symptom of chronic exposure to intense light. Most often preventative measures can be taken such as shades and window tinting. Only window tinting however can reduce the risks of light exposure without reducing visibility. |
